The 2012 Summer Olympics just wrapped up in London, and as the focus turns to Rio De Janeiro in 2016, the question on a lot of sports fans minds is when will Mixed Martial Arts finally be added to the competition? MMA is the fastest growing sport in America, having already surpassed tennis, golf, soccer, and many others in popularity. MMA isn’t just popular in America though, its reach is spreading across the globe. UFC currently has fighters from over 30 different countries, and within the last three years they’ve sponsored major fights in the US, Sweden, Brazil, the UK, Germany, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and more. The original Olympic games even had a version of mixed martial arts called “pankration,” which translates as “all strengths,” meaning any fighting style was allowed – sound familiar? While pankration was particularly brutal, MMA is now a much safer sport, far safer than boxing, which is Olympics-sanctioned. The IOC needs to wake up and realize what the world wants – a gold medal for MMA. Now is the time to buy Total Domination MMA T shirts to show your support for the next great Olympic event. Rio, get ready for Total Domination!
